DtD — Door to Door
We carry the goods through to the final address you nominate. Nothing at the destination is left for you to arrange.
What this term covers
Door to door is the longest of the five terms: origin, main leg and the final delivery to the address you give us. You give us one address and receive the goods there.
It is the right term when you would rather not hold a relationship with a forwarder at the destination, or when the goods are going somewhere you have no presence. It is quoted as one figure so you can compare it directly against the landed cost of doing the same thing in pieces.
